Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 55 years old, female and work full time in a stressful job. During past few months I have been experiencing extreme muscle and joint pain. I take 800mg ibuprofen twice daily but still am uncomfortable when I g e t u p from a chair or r lol over in bed I feel like I am 80 plus years old. I a m going thru pre menepausen and have put on some extra weight but walking is very uncomfortable. I almost feel like my body is accumulating toxins and don t know what a t to do
Muscle and joint pain can be related to many medical conditions. Some of the causes can be rheumatoid arthritis or chronic fatigue syndrome. So, I suggest to do some examinations to exclude the possibility of rheumatoid arthritis such as rheumatoid factor level and ERS level. Meanwhile, I recommend to lower the stress in the daily routine and eat healthy. I recommend to use magnesium supplements which help in muscles relaxation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
