What Causes Extreme Joint Pain In Elderly?

I have extreme fatigue and severe pain in my joints and muscles (especially in my knees and lower back) but even in my fingers. I ve had chronic pain for several years but it s getting worse with age. I m 56 now but have the energy of a 90 year old. Any ideas what could be causing my suffering? I don t know how long I can take this!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having osteo-artheritis of joints and muscle stiffness.
This can be due to osteoporosis which is common at this age.
Take Calcium and vitamin D3 supplements.
Go for light walking exercise daily.
Ok and take care.
