What Causes Extreme Body Sweats Post Treatment For Cold And Fever?

Hi. My husband has a common cold virus. He had a fever for 2 days along with sore throat, and body aches. It has been 3 days since the fever broke, but he is still experiencing body sweats. Not just night time either, all day, soaking through clothes. Is this the body s normal reaction to a virus or fever? Or something he should go see a doctor for?

Hi
welcome to the health care magic and thanks for asking your query here

When your fever "breaks", your body resets the thermostat and needs to cool down. The most effective way to do this is to sweat
So its nothing abnormal and may be he still has mild unnoticeable fever which is fading away
If you notice other symptoms which are doubtful than u must visit your GP for further evaluation of the condition

I hope it help thanks and get well soon
