What Causes Extreme Behavior Issues In A Child?

I have a 6 year old son who is having extreme behavior issues at school. He is openly defiant with everyone at the school. His teacher also mentioned he seems to come to school tired. I put him to bed every night between 7:30 or 8 pm and he gets up at 6:30 am to get ready for school and etc. so we can leave on time. Last year the school tested him for any needs related to special education, however he did not qualify, his IQ is right on target and there were no other signs of mental, emotional or other issues. Someone told me to look up ODD symptoms, of which he expresses many. Any suggestions?

Hi, thanks for asking.
In my opinion your child seems to have oppositional defiant disorder. He would definitely benefit with the counselling. You should have fixed rules in the school and at home regarding what has to be done if he defies the rules. He should be given the pre determined consequences of his behaviour.
I hope I have helped you
Thank you
