What Causes Exhaustion, Vomiting And Dry Heaves?

Hi!! My daughter is 17 and she was admitted into the hospital yesterday at 8am she has non stop been vomiting more dry heiving but literally since 8am yesterday. They are giving her fluids and nausea meds but they are not working very well. She is exhausted they did do a CTscan. I still dont have a answer to what is wrong with her. Any suggestions

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Since your daughter is admitted with non-stop vomiting in spite of fluids which I think must have been given intravenously and medications for heaves and vomiting, the cause has to be ascertained.
You have not mentioned any associated symptoms.
The causes can be as follows and needs to be investigated by the following ways:
Gastritis.
Intestinal Obstruction.
Any inflammatory cause like gallbladder inflammation and so on.
I would advise her the following other than CT scan they have done.
Upper GI Endoscopy.
Urine tests: routine, bile salt and pigments, pregnancy tests if the period is missed.
Ultrasonographyy of abdomen.
Tests of blood like CBC, liver and kidney function.
Other tests as per the clinical evaluation and examination.
Further management as per the findings.
