What Causes Excruciating Back Pain After Dislocating A Rib On Left Side?
I dislocated a rib on my left side about 2 months ago. The pain went a way for a little bit but I still was unable to lay on my left side and hurt to touch. I woke up a week ago in the worst pain i have ever been in. I now could not lay on my back or my right side, so I had to sleep sitting up. It hurt to breath, cough, laugh, etc. 2 days later the pain went down a lot but I could feel that it was out of place and noticed a couple days later that it is sticking out of my back a little bit. Should I see a doctor?
Hi, From history it seems that due to dislocating of r4ib might produce some pressure under lying structures like lungs and back muscle tissues causing this problem. Go for x-ray of ribs to know problem in the rib and extent of dislocated rib. Consult orthopedic suregeon and get examined. Meanwhile take some analgesic medicine and avoid more pressure on back. Ok and take care.
