What Causes Excessive Weight Loss After A Mastectomy And Chemotherapy?

Concerned for a friend who has been through a dual mastectomy and chemotherapy. Last tx in Jan.2017. Has a peg tube because of issues with eating. Has been in and out of hospital and no one seems to have addressed the issue at hand. She has lost a significant amount of weight. As of recent she has gone from 96lbs to 84lbs and was admitted to hospital for dehydration, within 2 days sent home and is unable to eat or drink. When she does her TF they back up into her throat. Upon looking in her mouth she has a serious case of thrush, which appears to be mucositis and is not being treated. She states that her throat feels fluffy and she is unable to swallow. Her Oncologist and GI doctor have had little follow through and the last hospital ER she went to one doctor wanted to admit and the other doctor said if she was admitted he would immediately discharge her. I feel that the real issues are not being addressed, which have to do with her GI tract. Her Scans and Cancer markers show NED. She is malnourished and frail. What are her options?
