Hi,
Noted your history of
concussion in may, was a sports person, developed weight gain of 30 pound in 3 months and trouble in concentrating.
The details about concussion in May would have helped me to explain more about your present symptoms.
If the concussion was due to head-
injury, even though minor can cause few conditions like bleeding in subarachnoid layer or development of a clot or scarring or so post head-injury.
This can also lead to changes in the
hormonal secreting areas of brain and cause the symptoms of difficulty in concentrating and the trauma to Pituitary can cause weight gain.
There are other causes too that need special examination and investigations to find the cause and get treated accordingly.
These are for
diabetes, hyper-
lipidemia,
hypothyroidism and so on.
Psychological problems can also cause such things.
Hence I would advise you to consult your Doctor for proper clinical evaluation, examination and get investigated and/or refer to the Specialist for their opinion and management.
You also need to stop the foods and beverages that causes the problems.
Increase your exercises to have a proper output by exercises and so on.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
