Hello,

A rapid weight gain or hot flashes may be side effects of the oral contraceptives pills or hypothyroidism or UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) with hormonal imbalance et cetera.

Please, consult your gynecologist, just get done serum prolactin, thyroid status, ultrasound abdomen and blood investigation and get treated accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
