What Causes Excessive Vaginal Discharge After A Miscarriage?

I miscarried on April 29 only 20 days after I found out I m/c. It is now June 3 and I m having a lot of discharged and its just slimy but we are trying but scared to take a test we do have a son who is almost two but he was born at 25 weeks at a little over a pound so we are just wanting to experience a full pregnancy... Do you think there could be a chance of being pregnant? And ways to help have a full pregnancy with high risks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think that the discharge can be related to an infection post miscarriage. You may need to do a vaginal smear to get checked. Treating the infection, getting fully evaluated may make you possible to have a full term pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
