What Causes Excessive Sweating , Ringing In The Ears And Blurred Vision?

I have been randomly been passing out and I was wondering why this is happening. Usually my vision gets really blurry, my ears start ringing, I get very sweaty and then eventually everything goes black for a couple of seconds. It has happened at school, during a basketball game, just this morning while I was getting ready for school and various other times. I am a sixteen year old female, I have a proper diet and I am an athlete so I am a very active person. I also drink plenty of water so that shouldn t be a problem. Any ideas?

Hi dear ,

Welcome to HCM,

Understanding you concern. As per your query you have excessive sweating , ringing in the ears and blurred vision. The symptoms you mention in query are indicating excessive fatigue , stress and anxiety , cardiac problem , sinusitis ( specially due to viral infection ) , ear infection or low blood sugar or low iron level. I would suggest you to take proper rest , take day off , keep yourself hydrate by drinking atleast 8-9 glasses of water , take oral rehydration solution and take proper diet . If symptoms occur again then consult general practitioner for proper diagnosis and rule out causes like diabetes and generalize stress and anxiety . Doctor will take history and order tests like blood test to find out the sugar level . Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for ear problem or sinusitis , who may prescribe antibaterial or anti viral depending upon the diagnosis .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
