What Causes Excessive Sweating In The Buttocks In A Older Child?
Hello my son is 15 and he is having a problemhe Iis sweatingso bad around his whole bum area he Iis soaking his sheets and his clothes. I am wondering what can be causing this? I don twant him getting embarrassed at school. He isn t getting proper sleep either. Can u please help me with this? Thanks Tanya
Excessive sweating is experienced by some individuals and causes behind it are poor hygiene, some specific type of excess food intake can lead to excessive sweating or sometimes its just idiopathic.
I would suggest you make sure he maintains hygiene well as teenagers tend to be lazy and don’t pay attention to it. Observe if he is eating anything in excess that might be causing this.
If nothing seems to be the reason, I would say consult a dermatologist regarding this, he will be able to guide you best with medical management.
He will guide you after taking all the history and examining your kid to the best of his knowledge. Follow his advice on the management of the issue.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
