What Causes Excessive Sweating, Cough And Upper Left Chest Pain?

I m a male, 60 years old, 5 7 and 280 lbs. I am having sudden sweating, coughing and pain in upper middle left side of my chest. I sweating and coughing have calmed down and the pain seems to be subsiding. I had a PE about a year ago. I m on 5mg Eliquis, 50mg 1,000mg Janumet twice a day on both.....plus 10mg Lisinopril once per day. I have an appointment with my blood Dr this coming Wednesday. Does it sound like I ll be OK to wait till Wednesday or should I head to the ER ??

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have gone through the details. Considering that you have diabetes and excess weight (BMI od >43 kgs/M2), with symptoms like sudden sweating, chest pain on left side, it is better to visit the ER. It could be a problem related to the heart. I will not ask my patient to wait till his forthcoming appointment. It is better to take a preventive step. Thanks.
