Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Episodes of palpitation, headache, and profuse sweating are typical and constitute a classic triad of pheochromocytoma's clinical manifestation.

Measurements of plasma free metanephrine are the most sensitive test and are less susceptible to false-positive elevations from stress, including venipuncture.

Another angle is the use of any drug particularly sympathomimetics(Methamphetamine).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
