What Causes Excessive Sleeping And Fatigue?

I usually sleep 6-7 hrs a night and am feel somewhat tired until caffeine kicks in. Then about a month ago, I have been sleeping a lot more. I still get 6-7 hrs a night and when I wake up at 8 am, I feel rested. But around 10 am I can t keep my eyes open and fall asleep. I sleep until 1pm and wake up again. Then around 3 I again fall asleep until 6. Then Around 8 until 10. Then around 1 am until morning again. No medication change, no drugs or alcohol.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic.
Thank you for the query.

Excessive sleepiness and fatigue are symptoms for various reasons. I would like you get your hemoglobin tested to rule out anemia, and other vitamin deficiency. Stress is a major factor. You can try relaxing by going for long walks, meditating, graded exercise therapy, dietary changes (fresh fruits and vegetables) and lots of fluids will surely help.

I hope this answers your query.

With best regards,
I find this answer helpful
