Hi, my son is eight and sometimes gets excessive saliva and wipes it on his shirt and soon after he gets a red itchy rash on his cheeks (I assume from the saliva) which eventually clears up. Now his eye has also become red and swollen. His allergy tests for pets and dust have come back negative. There's no fever or redness or swelling inside his mouth, any ideas?
Hi. Excess salivation may be due to overproduction or decreased clearance, the later must be investigated first as this is a case children. U go to ENT surgeon if there any infection to mouth or inside like tonsillitis, abscess, paroid swelling. Usually this kind of problems subsides by itself but u should not take chance.go to the doctor
