What Causes Excessive Perspiration At Night, Dizziness And Fainting?

I am having a couple of problems that may or may not be connected. Just in the last month or less I am having early evening and at night sweating in the front of my neck and upper chest area. I have never been a person who sweats. At this stage of my life this should not be menopausal. I never had the neck sweating during my menopausal phase just extreme hot flashes. I am also having some dizzy feelings like I am going to pass out,but I don t pass out. If I m standing I will sit or lay down for fear of fainting.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Dizziness with fainting attacks is commonly due to dehydration, hypoglycemia, hormonal problems, BP issues, menopausal phase, thyroid issues or inner ear problems.

Excessive perspiration is a common symptom in most perimenopausal or menopausal women. Menopause is a normal physiological process through which all woman have to go, stay away from anxiety or stress.

Avoid addictions if any. You can meet a gynae you my need HRT. Visit ENT, to rule out Vertigo, get audiometry test done.

Stay well hydrated, maintain a low BMI, avoid a sedentary lifestyle. Maintain blood sugar & BP.

To rule out the possibility of syncope you can have a cardiac check-up done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
