What Causes Excessive Lethargy After Taking Depakote And Zyprexa?

My husband is taking two Depakote tab in the pm and 1 zyprexa. he takes 1 depakote in the am. He had a period of manic episodes in August. Now he stays in the bed, or in the house all day. He is very lethargic, very quiet, no energy, and confused when driving as to turn right or left, and he is close to having accidents. He never use to let me drive, now he goes and gets in the passenger seat. Is he taking too much. The psychiatrist who put him on the meds is hard to get hold of and I am thinking I nee to set up an appointment. My husband is 68,was very active, and now does nothing. His has also begin to shake and is always cold. What advice can you provide?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Considering the disorder he is suffering from a depressive episode is most likely condition here. The mentioned medications are unlikely to be the responsible factors here. I suggest re consultation with your treating psychiatrist and discussing with him on above mentioned issue is advisable.
