What Causes Enlargement Of Liver Of A 4 Year Old?
My daughter inlaw took my 4 1/2 month old grandson to the doctor for a check up, while pushing on his stomach the doctor found that his liver was enlarged, so he sent him for blood test and ultra sounds.... Now we have to wait a week for the results. What could cause his liver to be enlarged?

is there any history of yellow discoloration of skin eyes ? is the the urine dark yellow or stools white. is the baby feeding well. is there any family history esp in the siblings? any maternal drug ingestion esp any herbal preparations? have you started any top feeds/ several questions need to be answered prior to waiting for the results. a enlarged liver can be just a pushed down liver also.
