What Causes Elevation In Liver Enzymes Along With Low Platelet Count?

This is hammad ! My question is that i have done sgpt/Alt tests and it regularly comes high i.e. around 150μ/l ! Hbs and hcv negative, no fatty liver i.e. ultrasound normal ! What can be the most probable cause ? I use antidepressants i.e. paroxetine 25mg, inderal 10mg twice & and risperidone 0.5mg and esomeprazole 40mg before breakfast once daily ! I have gained weight, My tummy has enlarged quite a much ! Plus my platelets are also always on the lower side that is around 150,000 ! So alt raised and platelets count less ? Possible diagnosis or tests ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dr. Hanif warmly Welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.

It seems in large, to be due to Paroxetine adverse effects, and to a lesser extent due to Inderal.

Deranged liver enzymes due to medications, usually drop down to normal levels once the patient is off medication.

I recommend you to reduce your body weight. It will save you from cardiac, hepatic and other diseases.

Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.

Have a wonderful time ahead.

Best Regards!
