What Causes Elevation In BP Levels?

I am 3 weeks postpartum and my blood pressure has been in the high range for about two and a half weeks. I went to the emergency room a week and a half ago and they said it was just migraines and a sinus infection causing the high readings. I finished my antibiotic and steroid yesterday. When I took a reading tonight it was the highest one yet at 179/113! Should I go back to the emergency room or wait and try to get an appointment with either my OB or primary doctor

Hi,

Raised blood pressure after delivery can be post partum preeclempsia. Needs immediate concern & investigations to diagnose/exclude with treatment. See your treatment gynecologist earliest to take needful stress.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
