What Causes Elevated Potassium Levels In The Blood?
Hi, Recently my potassium level increased. I have other medical issues. Epilepsy controlled with 1: Keppra dosage 1500 mg in am, 2000 mg in pm. 2:Lamactil dosage 300 mg am and 300 mg in pm 3: Clonazepam dosage .5 mg am and pm In addition I also have ataxia - rare disease no medication
The elevated potassium level is not related to your routine drugs and. it has to be evaluated thoroughly. You can consult a physician and get evaluated. You have to do a serum potassium assay and an ECG as high potassium can cause abnormal heart rhythm. Wishing you good health.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
