Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is almost 15 and we went in Tuesday for a sports physical. The Doctor at urgent care said she had a heart murmur. We went her regular Doctor on Thursday and she said there was no murmur but at that time, she did blood work. I just got a call saying that her liver enzymes are elevated. What could this mean? She is healthy and has not been ill. We are having the blood work repeated next week.
If heart murmur in doubt by doctor than further work up needed in form of echocardiography or EKG investigation to rule out cardiac cause. I need to know how much liver enzymes value elevated to comment further regarding liver health. USG abdomen scan should be done for further work up. HBsAg by Elisa also should be checked.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
