Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had blood levels checked yesterday by my provider and the only level of all the labs taken that was out of range was my B12 it was 2000 as what the nurse told me. She asked if I took a B12 supplement and I informed her that I took a multi vitamin with B12 100mcg. in it but I had also been taking a Bcomplex supplement that had B12 of 15mcg., although I stopped taking that Bcomplex 3 weeks ago thinking that it was not needed with the multisupplement I was taking. Evidently I m getting way to much B12 and thinking if you can give me reasons why this level so high, when I stopped taking the B complex supplement 3 weeks ago.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, you have not mentioned any clinical complaints here and in absence of this no need to take anything, chances of hypervitaminosis could be likely hope this information helps.
