What Causes Elevated Heart Rate While Having Cough And Congestion?
I just went to urgent care for a cough and congestion. They said my heart rate was high so they did ekg and xray. Everything looked good but heart rate concerned t hem at 130. I feel like it s upper respitory. Is that common for health rate to go higher? After picking up my son I do get exhausted.

If you have fever in relation with cough you can get increased heart rate. Otherwise if you were taking some drugs like Salbutamol or theophylline that also can cause increased heart rate./ cant think of a cause other than that which would cause increased heart rate in relation to cough. If this thing persist suggest cardiologiat opinion. Think the answer was helpfuul.
