Hi
Thanks for posting your query.
I appreciate your concern for the high cholesterol level.

The reason for elevated cholesterol level is mainly due drinking excessive amounts of alcohol. Regularly drinking a lot of alcohol can increase your cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

Elevated cholesterol level is one of the main risk factors for the heart disease. So, the cholesterol level should be maintained within the normal range.

You need to take drugs which lower the cholesterol level like Statins, or Fibrates for that you have to visit your gp.
Quitting smoking and exercising may raise levels of “good” HDL cholesterol which could be beneficial to you.

And of course you must avoid boozing too much, as alcohol is responsible for the liver diseases like fatty liver, cirrhosis of liver with its complications.

Hope these suggestions could be helpful to you in getting rid of the elevated cholesterol level and its complications.

Wishing you good health.
