General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Long-standing diabetes can lead to resistance to usual OHA( oral hypoglycemic agents). If your blood sugar level is persistently high, you have to switch to insulin.

Consult a physician and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
