Hello and welcome to HCM
I have read your query
I hope this will help
From the history provided by you I am assuming that what you checked was your FASTING BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS.the normal range for fasting blood sugar level is that it should be less than 126MG ..and RANDOM BLOOD SUGAR LEVEL Should be about 160mg 2 hours after taking meal...
I would suggest to you that you should check your blood sugar levels 4 times a day for 3 consecutive days.make a chart and consult your GP with the report...
If it remains high still there is no need to worry much as you are taking a low dose of metformin as it can be easily increased upto 2-2.5gm a day without significant side effects...
Mean while do regular exercise...follow strict dietary restrictions... Do daily exercise and try to loose weight..
I hope eeverything will turn about to be fine.
Regards
Dr faeza
