What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure?

I am 64 y.o., Caucasian, 6 1 , 170 lbs, & have had MS X9 yrs. For about six months, my BP has run high, averaging 135-140/85-90. I have no risk factors for BP. I work out 5-6 X/week, have never smoked, & my diet s pretty good. I m adopted. Could it be my MS meds? I m concerned!
