What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure After A Brain Stroke?

My father in law just suffered a stroke 6 days ago. He has 2 brain bleeds on the right side of brain which effects the left side. His bp keeps spiking so they did a MRI to find out that he also had a brain stem stroke . Do you know what would make his bp keep spiking?

Hi There

Dear high blood pressure is itself a cause for brain stroke. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can cause problems by damaging and narrowing the blood vessels in your brain. Over time, this raises the risk of a blood vessel becoming blocked or bursting. Best to go with the medicines advised.

Good Luck
