Hi I have been taking Hyzaar for more than 1o years, and recently had the dosage increased to 1.5 tablets a day on the 50mg/12.5. Recently I was diagnosed with thyroid. After about one year from this diagnosis and treatment by the endocrinologist using Thiamazole, I was told by my General Practitioner (GP), who is the usual doctor I see for my hypertension to change my Hyzaar to Diovan 160. After taking Diovan for the past 5 days, my blood pressure went from an average of 120/80 to 145/98. Please advise If I should coninue Diovan160 or switch back to Hyzaar. I also have a condition SVT and I take Tambocor 100mg when my SVT occurs which is like twice in a year. I also have migraines and I am on Cafergot. Thank you so much.
