There many medical conditions that may cause elevated liver enzymes. Some possible causes may include.

-Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease
-Obesity
-liver inflammation caused by an autoimmune disorder

Only a keen examination by the Doctor with some tests may help identify the cause.Just see your Doctor for evaluation.
In the meantime, the following may help reduce the level of AST in body

*Getting Medical Treatment like Get a blood sample taken for testing, Stop taking over-the-counter drugs, your Doctor may Consider prescribing corticosteroids and other drugs if need be, taking herbal supplements.
