My baby os 5 months with ezcema and his doctor gave him a mometasone 0.1 % treatment, 2 times/day during 7 days, I have applied it from head to toes during three days, but now his volume of urine has increased significantly. I would like to know if we can do a follow with the doctor before continuing applying this cream, and if this cream is safe for a baby Thanks
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have eczema in a 5 month old baby . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons , but in your case it occur due to overactive response by the body's immune system to an irritant. I would suggest you to clean your skin by washing with cold water and mild soap , stay in moist environment , avoid sun exposure and take anti histamine twice a day . Do not scratch your skin as it can lead to secondary infection , rather apply cold compresses to skin to reduce irritation . If condition doesn't subside then consult pediatrician for proper examination . Patient generally treated with oral medications (immunosuppressants ) , antibiotics for secondry infection , steroid creams and light therapy . Protect skin from direct sun exposure .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
