What Causes Early Menstruation With Severe Abdominal Pain?

Hi. I m concerned about strange symptoms in having, first I ve been suffering from severe pain in my right side of my abdomen, I have adhesions and am going to a surgeon in a week for exploratory lap. With adhesion removal, all that being said in the testing there was also ovarian cysts and a tumor inside, now my pain is currently getting much worse esp today and also down in the area of my ovaries on top of the mid abdomen pain, both are shooting into my back. I m bleeding like a period but its 2 weeks early and not at all normal and there is a fluid coming out not a discharge but a clear fluid and I m soaking through, I have a hx of ovarian cysts and have had them removed before too but I don t know if maybe one is ruptured or what I know something is very wrong and I m in immense pain. Am I safe to just go to bed or is something possibly very wrong?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
welcome to hcm,
I really appreciate your concern,
THe problem here is called endometriosis.
During a normal period ( menstrual cycle ) , blood flows out of the uterus through the vagina.
In this disease, the menstrual blood travels in opposite direction and enters the pelvis, leading to deposits of endometrial tissue in the pelvis.
The cyst in your ovary is due to endometriosis and called as chocolate cysts.
This explains the pain during your period, that you are having.
Endometriosis also leads to Adhesions.
The treatment mainly consists of hormonal treatment for 3 months - oral contraceptive pills, progesterone pills, Danazol etc.
If this fails, then surgical removal is the next step for this condition which i hope you will be undergoing.
Please feel free to ask if you have any further questions,
Thanks. Regards.
