What Causes Ear Fullness Post Myringotomy?

I have done myringotomy with grommets 3.5 weeks ago and since then have been having constant ear fullness/pressure and hence muffled voice to myself. Should I remove the grommets? Concurrently I have also done the balloon dilation for my eustachian tubes. Thanks.

Thanks for your query in HCM.

There's some possibilities that make this condition:
1. Infection in the ear canal that accompanied by oedema
2. Pressure imbalance in the middle ear, etc.

If this bothering you, I suggest to talk to your treating doctor.

Avoid water enter your ear canal, so it's mean you can't swim or dive.
