Hi, my left ear closes up different times during the day. Started (2) months ago. When it opens and i try to close my mouth & nose and breath, it will close up again then open a little while later. It's never and all day thing. Age 47, 114 lbs, female.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain recurring clogging up of ears can be due to blocked Eustachian tube caused due to Eustachian tube dysfunction.. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and Otoscopic examination can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised decongestant Oral as well as Nasal drips, Steroids along with antibiotics and anti allergics... If required Pressure Equalization tubes can be placed in the ears to aid in easing drainage and maintain unclog ears.. At times a surgical approach is done to drain out the fluid but it in cases that does not resolve with conservative therapy..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
