Hi, I m 29 years old. I ve had a dull ache in my left testicle for a few days now. It mainly aches when I m sitting down. There is no pain in my lower abdomen or groin area itself. I ve got lower back pain near my left hip. However, I ve had previous back pain before. I believe it s due to lack of recent stretching, and sleeping in awkward positions. I ve also performed the self exam for testicular cancer, but can determine if there is a lump or an inflamed epididymitis. What do you think is wrong?
Welcome to healthcare magic for your health concerns I am Dr Fahim and I will be looking into your problem I have gone through your question and understood your concerns. Dull aching pain of the testis is usually associated with VARICOCELE, you can call it varicose veins in testicular venous plexuses. It is best seen from the underside of the scrotum by lifting the scrotum. A bunch of vessels can be felt at the apex of the testis and diagnosis is confirmed by ultrasonography of the scrotum. You need to see a general surgeon or a urologist who after clinical examination and studying the report of ultrasound will guide you about its management. However treatment is surgical ligation of the dilated vein.
