What Causes Dry White Itchy Patches On The Labia And Arms?
I just turned 50. I do not have history of Sclerosis or any skin conditions up till now but i have noticed even dry white patches on my arms and on my vulva and labia whiteness and swelling, itching, irritation, tearing , bleeding not heavy just wear there seems to be paper thin tears and burning when i urinate
Thank you for your query. Your symptoms indicate fungal infection (candidiasis, tinea versicolor). this is treated by antifungal ointments which needs to be applied on the affected areas till the symptoms go away and then slowly taper the medication from twice a day to once a day to alternate days and stop over a course of 10 days after symptoms disappear. If present over a large area, antifungal tablets may be required. I recommend seeing a dermatologist and treating this asap.
please note that if you are diabetic, you may need to continue medication longer and inform your doctor right away , if recurrence occurs. Hope this helps. please let me know if this has been helpful Wish you good health. Please get back to us for further queries
