What Causes Dry Peeling Skin On The Inside Of The Thighs?

I have dry, flaky, peeling skin on the inside of my thighs, but not red or itchy. Could be a fungus. Don t believe it is tinea cruris because it is not red or itchy. Has small oval sections with lines through it. Strange. Flakes to the touch. Occurs all the way down to my knees. Not as prevalent in the groin area. No redness in groin area at all.

Hello,
Thanks for the query,
You might have developed fungal infection.
Your description matches with that.
Usually fungal infections are itchy and recurrent.
Please get a KOH mount done,
This can confirm the fungal etiology.
Treatment can be with oral antifungals as well as with topical antifungals.
Treatment must be continued for at least a month to prevent recurrance.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
