What Causes Dry Nose, Headache Along With Swollen And Painful Throat?
I have a very persistently dry nose a sore throat that has caused strain in my voice, persistent fatigue for over 2 years which is much worse now than when I first experienced it. Long term headaches - more like pressure type headaches but also ones where my head feels sore and now soreness in my central chest area down to then end of my breast bone. I have had many blood tests and all tests have been coming up clear except for issues with slightly low Vitamin D and phosphate levels. My symptoms are getting progressively worse and I have no answer. I feel I might have a thyroid issue but thyroid because of the pain in Adam s apple area and intermittent swelling in my throat glands. My main issues are really a persistent soreness in my head, nose and throat now extending into my chest which I ve had for a long time and ever increasing fatigue. All these symptoms have developed over a 5 year period and are all getting progressively worse. Hope you can help because I m getting little help from my GP
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of dry nose, headache along with swollen and painful throat which seems to be due to viral infection to your body. It could be due to upper respiratory tract infection as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start with anti-inflammatory medication such as Levocetirizine. You should take Tylenol for fever as well. You should do warm saline gargles and take throat lozenges as well. Avoid intake of outside food. Do tepid sponging if fever is increasing. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and get blood tests done. Start treatment after proper prescription and rule out condition like viral pharyngitis or strep throat . Doctor may prescribe antiviral/ antibacterial medications. Avoid cold liquids. Sip on warm water.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
