thanks doctor. my daughter is prescribed augmentin 625 thrice daily. today is third day and her voice is closed no body pain. dry cough right from inside . can she switch to doxcef cv. which she took 6 months back for a cure? plprescribe medicine she requires relief rather urgentlydueto some exam. Related to your concern it is not known that Augment can cause dry cough and loss of voice as major side effects. It is not recommended to switch the antibiotics if you don't have major side effects.
