What Causes Drowsiness And Numb Palm After Having Gabapin?

i HAD A MILD STROKE IN jUNE 2014 AND AS PER MRI REPORT THERE IS A SMALL DAMAGE IN MY LEFT THALAMUS. DR. HAS PRESCRIbED GAbAPIN NT TWICE A DAY RECENTLY WHICH IS CAUSING ME SLEEPY THROUGH-OUT. SHALL i CONTINUE IT? MY RIGHT PALM IS MUM AND FINGERS ARE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. PL ADVISE.

Brief..could be because of Gabapin
Detail...yes Gabapentin can cause some side effects, e.g..drowsiness, tiredness,unusual eye movements,tremors etc..for a while stop this drug. And I highly recommend you to keep check eye on your blood pressure and blood sugar level..if you could tell me what was the cause of your stroke....do you have B.P or Diabetes problem?..
As numbness and weakness can be caused because of diabetes ,and high blood pressure can even be more dangerous as it can attack your brain once again..and can cause these symptoms too.
you should be evaluated once again thoroughly as only gabapin can not be culprit...
