What Causes Drooling, Tingling Sensation Through The Body And Spasms To The Left?

My husband suddenly felt a tingling sensation in his entire body & was drooling a bit. At the same time, he felt a spasm in his left leg & his right arm was shaking uncontrollably. He felt he had to walk it off. When he tried to walk he was very unsteady so I held onto him & the two of us walked for about 5 minutes. As we walked, his body seemed to calm down. He says he is fine now. What happened?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The sudden episode of drooling, tingling through body over left side indicates possible transient ischemic attack involving right side of cerebral region most likely. Although he is fine right now, I would recommend a neurologist visit and get blood pressure checked and discuss about the need of MRI brain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
