Hi
Mild weight loss after delivery and while breastfeeding is normal. However, losing too much weight is not healthy both to you and your baby.some possible reasons why you could be losing too much weight are:
-You may not be getting enough calories for you and your baby. You need to make sure you take foods rich in calories and other essential nutrients needed by you and your baby
-Maybe you are over working if you do not have people to help you with most of the house chores. You may easily be carried by all the work and forget about taking care of yourself and eating well for you and your baby
-With a past history of Hypothyroidism, postpartum thyroid disorders can make you to lose weight drastically.I will suggest you see A Doctor to evaluate you and do thyroid function tests. If the problem is of thyroid origin, many safe treatment options are available for breastfeeding mothers and once you start treatment, you begin to feel better.
I will advise you see the Doctor for investigation as soon as possible for your own good and that of your baby.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
