What Causes Draining Of Fluid From A Scab Behind Ear?

I have been having drainage flow out of my ear for almost 7 months because something was behind my ear and it disappeared and formed some sort of scab. Why has my ear been draining for so long? It drains on and off now every few days but not as much as it had before. I don t understand why it does that and I don t know if I should be worried about something or not. ****Also, I have been clearing my throat constantly like something is in there, but I know there s nothing. Why is this happening and what should I do?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Persisting drainage would indicate that there is a likely an unresolved infection that needs treatment.

You should consider visiting an ENT specialist for assessment and treatment which would likely include antibiotics.

I hope this helps
