General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my surgical experience, the passage of bone like pieces in the feces after surgery of colostomy may be possibly related to unabsorbed phosphorus or other metabolites precipitating in the towel , possible problems with intestine absorption most likely.

However, a chemical analysis of the same in laboratory is must to proceed before further comments.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
