General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The transient dizzy spells with light headache and disorientation may be related to various disorders such as
- Postural hypotension
- Side effect of certain medications in aged such as sedatives, antihistamines, alpha blockers for prostate problems
- Cardioneurogenic disorders
- Transient ischemic attack

It is best recommended to consult your doc during such episode for the best clinical evaluation and guidance accordingly. For primary relief, maintenance of hydration and avoidance of triggering drugs are of paramount importance.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
