What Causes Dizziness, nausea And Hearing Problem After Acute Sinusitis?

I was diagnosed with acute sinusitis over a week ago. My right ear is giving me a fit! When I'm up, I feel dizzy, nausiated, and my hearing feels like I'm trying to hear everything around me and can't make out any of it. It also feels like I have a microphone in my ear when I talk, and It drives me crazy!!!

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi and thanks for the query,
The eustachian tube connects the ear to the nose.
In infections of the nose and sinuses this tube can get blocked giving rise to all the symptoms you just mentioned.
The tube can be unclogged by instilling decongestant nose drops like otrivin.
Instill 3 drops in each side 3 times daily and follow it up with steam inhalation for 5 days.
You can also blow balloons or chew gum to unclog the tube.
Regards,
Dr Kishori.
