What Causes Dizziness With Ringing In Ears?

This hasn t happened to me for a while but it used to happen frequently a few years ago. Today whilst on travelling on the subway I suddenly started to feel very faint, I got a loud ringing in my ears and started to sweat. I thought was going to pass out and it felt like everyone was very far away and I got spots in front of my eyes. I got off at the next stop and sat down for a few moments until it subsided enough for me to continue my journey but I ve had blurred vision all day. I m not anxious or panicky so I don t think it s a panic attack. What could it be?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi

Welcome in HCM.

I understand your concern and as you said that your dizziness is associated with movement and you got relief by rest and at the same time you are having black out and all gets relief by rest. You are having blurred vision as well. This medical history demands thorough examination of-

1- Ear- for vestibular functions test.

2- Cardiac examination.

3- Neurological examination

4- Examination of eye.

So you have to consult your doctor for detail examination and treatment.

Thanks for consulting HCM.
