hello.. just wondering if you could help me i could really do with it. When I stand up from laying down, sitting or even walking up stairs i feel really dizzy and my legs and right arm start shaking cronically, it only last a few seconds but is starting to worry me. I've been to the doctors many of times because i used to collapse and they just told me I have naturally low blood pressure. Should i ask my doctor to do some tests? I also suffer from bipolar, the dizziness and shaking of my legs and arm tend to be severe when im high in my mood or low could this be a trigger to make my blood pressure lower? Thank you seren.
hello, It appears to be Postural hypotension. Also, certainly your other problem like bipolar can cause dizziness rather than causing low bp. Once you suddenly get up, blood supply to brain decreases and one gets dizziness, fainting etc. You should get morning serum cortisol levels and sugar levels done And also echo if possible to look for the cause of low bp. I n treatment, you should make behavioral changes like avoiding sudden change in posture, increasing fluid and salt intake in the diet. You can also wear compression stockings in order to prevent such dizziness. If none is helpful, then you can also get medicine like fludrocortisone prescribed for your low bp. You should also seek psychiatrist for your psychological problems.
